Collection: AHG - Japanese Range

Japan is an island country in East Asia, and it is often called the "Land of the Rising Sun". Japanese cuisine is known for its emphasis on the seasonality of food, quality of ingredients, and presentation.

A typical Japanese meal is served with soup and three sides, also known as ichijū-sansei, along with its staple, steamed white rice. Miso and tsukemono (pickles) make a great accompaniment to any of their main dishes. Seafood is famous and is often grilled but also served raw as sashimi or in sushi. Seafood and vegetables are also deep-fried in a light batter, as tempura.
